Land control is an important issue for project development. A company needs to be assured of an established purchase price and a timeline for expedient property acquisition. The property in the West Central Ohio Industrial Center is under total control of the Wapakoneta Area Community Improvement Corporation. The land is either currently owned by the CIC or under long-term option. The option agreement provides a confirmed purchase price -- $15,000 per acre -- and provisions requiring the property be vacated within 30 days of executing the option.
